Never one to shy away from controversy, Jackass star Bam Margera was detained by police outside a New York biker bar, after allegedly punching a cab driver, then denting a cab door and fleeing the scene.
According to eyewitnesses, Margera and a friend attacked the driver through the window of the cab, and then walked off before being caught by police officers.
Margera disputes this telling of events.
According to him, the driver called one of their female friends a “slut”, then the girl spat at the driver, who grabbed her hair. Apparently Margera then dove into the car and defended his friends.
Margera says when the cops showed up, they couldn’t “figure out who to arrest”, so everyone went free.
Fans are likely to be just happy that the drunken Margera was getting a cab, after the drunk-driving death of his close friend and Viva La Bam co-star Ryan Dunn.
